We are pleased to share that our Bureu Veritas Kazakhstan team including Ceebu Nair (Area Chief Executive for CIF Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan), Askar Amanbay (Astana Branch Manager) and Assylay Yegemberdiyeva (Sustainability Sales Market Leader) recently had the opportunity to meet with the Vice Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan on October 11.

The objective of this important meeting was to explore opportunities for cooperation and joint activities in the field of sustainable development. Ahead of the upcoming 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-29) in Baku, we were eager to present Bureau Veritas' global expertise and capabilities in several key areas:

- Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS): we shared our extensive experience in supporting CCUS projects, vital for Kazakhstan's carbon neutrality goals

- LDAR Leak Detection Technology: Our innovative leak detection solutions are designed to monitor and reduce methane emissions, aligning with sustainable operational practices

- Hydrogen Energy: we discussed how our hydrogen-related services can facilitate Kazakhstan's transition to cleaner energy

The Vice Minister provided valuable insights and we are excited about the potential for collaboration. By aligning our efforts, we are confident we can drive meaningful progress towards a more sustainable future for Kazakhstan and the region.
