Bureau Veritas Kazakhstan - General Partner of the conference "Decarbonization in Kazakhstan's Oil and Gas Industry"

On June 21, 2024 PetroCouncil held the first conference in Kazakhstan on "Decarbonization in Kazakhstan's Oil and Gas Industry" in Aktau.

The conference discussed key issues of global energy transition based on decarbonization principles including development of renewable energy sources, low-carbo fuels and carbon capture technologies, methane detection technologies, energy efficiency, energy management systems, digitalization and decarbonization.

Key discussion points included:

- Methane emissions alignment to achieve the OGMP Gold Standard

- Development of renewable energy sources, low-carbon fuels, carbon capture and storage technologies

- BV GREEN LINE initiative to support a sustainable world.

At the conclusion of the conference, our team left the event with a sense of inspiration and optimism about the future. It is evident that the movement towards a low-carbon economy is gaining momentum and Bureau Veritas Kazakhstan is proud to be at the forefront of this important process.
